Shillong, Aug 25: For public convenience and better administration, the Government of Meghalaya has created a new Police Station at Nongshillong in the Eastern West Khasi Hills District to be known as the Nongshillong Police Station.
The newly created Police Station is bounded by Nongstoiñ Police Station in the north, Mairang Police Station in the East, Mawkyrwat Police Station in the South and Nongstoiñ Police Station in the West.
On creation of the Nongshillong Police Station, the areas coming under its jurisdiction shall cease to be under Mairang Police Station, the Commissioner & Secretary Home (Police) Department informed.
