The State government has carried out a minor reshuffle of the bureaucracy involving senior civil services officers.
According to the latest notification, Frederick Roy Kharkongor, Commissioner & Secretary Arts & Culture, Community & Rural Development etc departments shall also function as Commissioner of Division, Khasi & Jaintia Region, Shillong and as Commissioner & Secretary, State Planning Board with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
Cyril V D Diengdoh, Secretary, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Finance, Political etc departments shall also function as Secretary, General Administration Department. He is, however, relieved of his functions as Secretary, Finance Department.
Sibhi Chakravarthy Sadhu, Secretary, Community and Rural Development, Fisheries departments etc, shall also function as Secretary, Finance Department.
Syed Md A. Razi, Commissioner & Secretary, Forests and Environment, Public Works (R&B) etc departments shall also function as Commissioner & Secretary, Public Works (Buildings) Department.
Dr. Joram Beda, Commissioner & Secretary, Planning, Health and Family Welfare departments and Project Director, Science and Technology Cell etc, is relieved of his functions as Project Director, Science and Technology Cell.
Gunanka D B, IFS, Joint Secretary, Planning Department, Member Secretary, State Council of Science Technology and Environment and Member Secretary, Bio-Resources Development Centre (BRDC) etc, shall also function as Project Director, Science and Technology Cell and as Project Director, Shillong Science Centre.
David D. Sangma, Joint Secretary, Mining and Geology, Housing departments etc, is relieved of his functions as Joint Secretary, Housing Department.
