Veteran journalist S Quotient Sumer passed away today at his residence in Panaliar, Jowai. He was 89.
Sumer who was a former editor from Jaintia Hills has contributed a lot to literature and has authored nine books. His first book ‘Ka Parom Patein Syiem Ka Ri Jaintia’ was released in 1960.
He was also one of the founders of Jowai Consumers Cooperative Store which was established in 1963.
His mortal remains will be cremated on January 1, 2023 at 10 at Khnap Thangbru, Khimusniang, Jowai.
