Grid-India, North Eastern Regional Centre, Shillong, organised the first quarterly official language workshop on the utility of Hindi and new technology.
A total of 18 employees from the Load Dispatch Centre, Shillong participated in this workshop.
Assistant Professor of NEHU’s Hindi Department, Alok Singh, who was present as the keynote speaker on the topic, said that many non-Hindi speaking thinkers have played an important role in making Hindi the official language, including Bengali speaking Keshav Chandra Sen, Gujarati speaking Mahatma Gandhi, Tamil speaking Subramaniam Bharati, Padma Shri Piyong Temjen Jamir of Nagaland, Ramendra Pal of Tripura, etc.
Today, all means of technology have brought simplicity in learning Hindi, including Bhashini, Anuvaadini, Artificial Intelligence, technology of the Official Language Department, etc, he added.
The programme was conducted and coordinated by the Hindi Officer of the Centre, Kuwali Hazarika.
