An FIR was registered against one Benjamin G. Momin for allegedly impersonating a doctor and deceiving innocent people.
The FIR was lodged with the Baghmara police in South Garo Hills by social activist Greneth M Sangma yesterday.
According to the FIR, Momin posed as Dr Hirak Sangma, Medical Officer at Ampati Civil Hospital and managed to cheat vulnerable job seekers by posting job vacancies on his whatsapp status.
Following the complaint, the social activist has also urged the Superintendent of Police to freeze the accused bank account and make immediate arrest.
“After conducting a thorough investigation, I have confirmed that the individual posing as a doctor is an imposter. His real name is Benjamin G. Momin, resident of Badaka PO, Adokgre, under Kharkutta Police Station, North Garo Hills,” the activist said.
