Nongpoh, Jan 10: A family is seeking justice for their loved one, Bipul Inghi, who died under suspicious circumstances. The youth, employed at NEHU Shillong, was reportedly injured in a fall on the NEHU campus on January 6, 2026, and taken to Supercare Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on January 8.
The family noticed injury marks and blood clots on his body after it was brought home, raising suspicions about the cause of death. An FIR has been lodged at Mawlai Police Station, and a post-mortem examination was conducted at Civil Hospital, Nongpoh.
The family is awaiting the post-mortem report and has stated they have no direct suspicion against anyone, including those who treated Bipul at Supercare Hospital. They are seeking clarity on whether the death was due to an accidental fall or something more sinister.
