A “shocking” message to the detractors within the State BJP or should we say a message to “would-be” loyalists with the latest political appointment of Ernest Mawrie a vocal critic of the party against the NPP over corruption is something we are all surprised by.
This is where the saying goes that politics make strange bedfellows and this has been reflected by the opportunistic politics played by the State BJP president.
From day one of assuming charge he has been a vocal critic against all the misdeeds of the NPP coalition however now the cat is out the bag and the BJP will now need a new calling card to rename itself.
Putting on the cloak of an adviser in the list of areas given makes everyone wonder whether Mawrie really has the “expertise” in them is a big question and only the Chief Minister himself can justify.
