As the countdown begins for the ninth edition of Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival (BVFF), Northeast India’s most celebrated film extravaganza, the festival invites entries of films from across India for its competitive and non-competitive categories.
Filmmakers from all across India can send in their submissions latest by September 30, 2024 to be hosted in Guwahati.
Organised by Tattva Creations, BVFF has emerged as a destination for cinema lovers, combining both untold stories and finesse to create an enriching experience for all attendees, a press statement said today.
BVFF has enriched the cultural landscape of cinema in the region and has consistently witnessed an average of 25,000 visitors per edition, it said.
Apart from showcasing the best of Indian independent cinema, BVFF has been involved in skilling and empowering youth through workshops, masterclasses, activities, and industry apprenticeships and opportunities and has been recognised as one of the best platforms for learning and networking for budding filmmakers.
Festival Director, Tanushree Hazarika said BVFF is a platform to showcase the culture, creativity and talent of the entire North-east and bring talented individuals from the world of media and entertainment closer home to share their stories, experiences and knowledge.
