Electoral roll observer and senior civil servant Isawanda Laloo today visited West Jaiñtia Hills and conducted a review regarding various activities conducted within the district during the ongoing Special Summary Revision period.
These activities comprise enrolment of new electors, deletion of expired, relocated and absent electors, correction of entries as well as different SVEEP events.
Laloo had a meeting with the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AEROs) of the five Assembly constituencies in West Jaiñtia Hills – Nartiang, Jowai, Raliang, Mowkaiaw and Amlarem.
She also had a meeting with the representatives of political parties and discussed election-related matters within the district and also urged the political parties to appoint booth level agents for the smooth flow of the election process.
Laloo also launched the SVEEP awareness video on Special Summary Revision created by the SVEEP icon and social media star “CHI IUNG”.
