The Khliehriat unit of the East Jaintia National Council has advised youth of the district not to be fooled by individuals promising them jobs for cash.
In a press release today, the unit’s general secretary Mebanteilang Sukhlain said that the group had received several complaints from youths to the effect that certain individuals were claiming to be officers who could provide them with government jobs, for a fee. Once paid, the promiser of jobs would disappear.
“This is a very big problem as our youth nowadays, with no jobs, have no options,” Sukhlain said.
The EJNC advised job searchers to rely only on job advertisements and not trust such unscrupulous individuals.
