An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Meghalaya at 12:34 pm.
The epicentre was South West Khasi Hills, as per the Nationals Centre for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
No loss of life or property was reported.
