The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has declared dry days on account of the by-elections to be held for the Mawryngkneng and Mawphlang Assembly seats.
The dry days will come into effect at 4pm on October 28 and run until October 30. Another dry day will be imposed on November 2, the day the results are announced.
The dry days will apply in all areas falling under the two constituencies.
