The State National People’s Party (NPP) welcomed Dr. Sangkey Shangpung and Sherborlang L Mawlong, to its fold at a function held at the party’s state office in Bivar road here today.
Shangpung, is a former United Democratic Party (UDP) and also chairman of the Jaiñtia Hills Autonomous district council (JHADC) and MDC of Bataw Lakadong.
Mawlong, was a meber of the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) and Khasi Hills Autonomous district council (KHADC) MDC of Nongspung Sohiong.
Chief Minister and NPP president, Conrad Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tyngsong, NPP leaders and supporters were present at the programme.
