People with disabilities and pregnant women have been excused from work in government offices, the Personnel Department said today.
Recently there have been loud calls for pregnant women to be exempted from work as the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic batters the state; they had been given this exemption during the first wave last year.
Today the government said that, in keeping with its order from last year, disabled and pregnant government employees will not have to attend office but “shall continue to work from home and be available on call.”
