A ‘summer school’ on ‘Contemporary Political Theory and Politics in India’, organised by the Department of Political Science at Women’s College, Shillong, for sixth semester students began today.
The ten-day programme will conclude on April 27. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Col (retd) Omkar Singh, Controller of Examinations at NEHU.
The resource persons are Prof Ashok Acharya of Delhi University, Sohini Guha formerly of DU, and Rajesh Dev, Associate Professor at DU. The course for this programme has been curated by the scholars to provide opportunities for capacity building of the students and to provide access to some of the leading figures in the field.
