Uneasiness is prevailing in the State BJP camp as its central leadership has not announced the candidates for the Shillong and Tura Lok Sabha Parliamentary seats.
The BJP today released its third list and still contenders for the Meghalaya seats is yet to be announced.
A state BJP functionary said with less than a month to go, the BJP hopefuls have given up hope on their chances of even making an appearance at every polling station.
“Nobody can understand why the Party High Command can’t decide on a candidate in Meghalaya. No matter what the voters think, the party high ups never seemed to understand, and perhaps don’t even care for their vote bank in Meghalaya,” the party functionary said.
“Is the Party planning to procrastinate even more? Already the State President and party workers are cutting a sorry figure among the public for this inexplicable delay,” he added.
The source said that the future of the Party can never crystallize into its famous “Modi Sarkar Aur Ek Bar” instead it’s becoming a little more alien than it already was.
