A decomposed body of a man was found inside a jungle at Lumshnong in East Jaiñtia Hills district, police said today.
The body was found on October 28 at around 9:20 am from Sohjo area of Dongkhliehchnong about 200 meters away from the National Highway 6 and is suspected to be a non-tribal, they said.
Police said the man is about 40 years of age about 5.5 feet in height. He was wearing light gray tracksuit pant, black half pant, blue-white-brown colour t-shirt, black-white stripped shirt and black and white ‘Nyke’ slipper.
Inquest could not be conducted as the dead body was in decomposed condition and after observing all the legal necessary formalities, the dead body was sent to Khliehriat Civil Hospital morgue for the post mortem examination, police added.
