The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has put in place restrictions for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Shillong on Sunday.
Yesterday, drones and other micro-light aircraft were banned from a 2km area around Polo Ground on the day of the visit.
Today, the DC said that invitees and members of the public who are attending are requested to arrive early and be seated by 9:30 am. Entry for the public will be from the rear gate into the SRGT parking lot located on the road towards Golflink. Attendees are not to carry with them items like water bottles, lighter/matchbox, cigarette, alcohol, knife/sharp objects, arms and inflammatory items which are not permitted inside the venue.
