The East Jaiñtia Hills district administration has instituted a magisterial enquiry into the death of a large number of fish in a river at Umkiang.
The probe will be headed by Superintendent of Fisheries and Executive Magistrate, Hubert Kharbuki who has been directed to submit a report by September 30.
