Celebrating 10 years in the North East, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, held its annual event to recognise young achievers from the region at a function in Guwahati recently.
Ten young talents from the North East were felicitated. “They were selected based on their exceptional performance in the field of sports, medical science, innovation, business and enterprise,” a company press release said.
There were five sportspersons in all – Siddhanta Gogoi of Assam, Rohan Ho of Meghalaya, Shahil Dey of Assam, Jintimani Kalita of Assam and Asem Roja Devi of Manipur. Dr Asif Iqbal (Assam) was recognised in the medical sphere, Tongbram Bijay Shanti (Manipur) in innovation, Puhabi Chakraborty (Tripura) in innovation, Roshan Upadhaya (Arunachal Pradesh) in environment and Lalthlamuani (Mizoram) in entrepreneurship.
