The Coordination and Welfare Committee Shella Bholaganj block today said that it has never issued any “open letter” to the Khasi Students Union and tagged it as fake.
According to the committee, an open letter with threats to the KSU is in circulation and shared on social media.
The letter with the subject line ‘Killing and beheading you at anytime’ was addressed to the KSU president and general secretary.
However, the CWC said it has not issued any letter against anybody or any organisation. “The committee has been doing welfare and peace and brotherhood amongst all the inhabitants irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. Government is well aware of the benevolent activities of the committee and it will always looks for the development of the state of Meghalaya,” it said.
