The Composite Regional Centre (CRC) for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities today planted 100 tree saplings at its new campus in Umsawli, New Shillong Township.
The programme conducted under the Ek Ped Maa ke Naam campaign was aimed at promoting environmental awareness and celebrating the spirit of nurturing and giving back to nature.
Participants highlighted the widespread community support for environmental causes and the significance of the initiative.
CRC Director Dr. Ram Shakal Sahani along with staff members and Students (DISLI Course) of CRC- Shillong and Central Public Works Department Assistant Engineer Chandra Mohan Meena and team also took part in the programme.
CRC, Shillong is a service institution set under the administrative control of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Odisha, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment with the aim of creating and developing resources and services required for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Meghalaya.
