There is no scarcity of cooking gas but many consumers are yet to get their quota in many localities in the city, it is learnt.
Particularly mentioned was the locality of Nongrim-Hills which is under the area to be served by the MeCOFED.
Local sources said that earlier they supplied the consumers at least once a month. They came by rotation to several pre-set points in the locality. But lately people from several inner-locality areas have complained that they have not been issued their quota for the last two months.
“We see the MECOFED gas truck on the main road but they have stopped coming to the locations where they used to come earlier. We don’t know where they go,” said a consumer. They said they are likely to complain to the deputy commissioner and ask her to do an inquiry about where their quota has disappeared.
