The BJP has said with lack of leadership, the Congress party will be erased from Meghalaya like it has already been done in other parts of the country.
National general secretary, Arun Singh who is on a visit of the State said that if the leadership is not good, it is definite that a party cannot grow.
“So nobody has faith in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi that’s why I say in Meghalaya, the Congress will be wiped out. It has been wiped out from most of the states, now it is the turn of Meghalaya,” Singh said after a felicitation programme which was held for him in Assam Club on Saturday.
The BJP national general secretary said that the BJP will take the Congress’s place.
“… and most of the seats the BJP will win where the Congress is there,” Singh added.
He also said that the BJP here is one even and that there is no infightings as everybody is working for the interest of the party.
The BJP national general secretary also said that the Congress leadership has totally failed and nobody believes the party under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
“The Congress has no ideology. The party is opposing for the sake of it they are against everything,” Singh said.
According to him, everything good that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does, the Congress opposes. “Congress is doing all negative and destructive politics nowadays,” Singh added.
Earlier, in the day Singh met the Ri-Bhoi district office bearers in Nongpoh. During the meeting, he underlined the seven years achievement made by the Modi government and how the Centre works in helping the people during the first and second waves of the Covid pandemic and the lockdown.
Singh urged party workers to reach the people at the grassroot and he also inquired about the mandals and booth committees in the district. He emphasised on coordination and cooperation in strengthening the party, for it to return in 2023.
