The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Community College for Skill Development, a constituent college of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), successfully concluded a four-day “Entrepreneur Development” training program aimed at empowering aspiring entrepreneurs within the community.
The event, which concluded today, attracted a diverse group of enthusiastic participants eager to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to turn their innovative ideas into thriving businesses.
Under the guidance of Jacqueline Nongkhlaw, Director of PNB Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, the program provided participants with invaluable insights and practical tools to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape.
Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of NEHU, and Prof. S. M. Sungoh, Principal in Charge of DDUCC, emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the region.
“Creativity, innovation, and determination are essential for progress,” they stated, reiterating NEHU’s dedication to supporting the community of Jaintia Hills through impactful training initiatives.
The valedictory program featured Dr. Davidson Pyngrope, Public Relation Officer (PRO) of NEHU, as the Chief Guest.
In his address, he highlighted the resilience required for entrepreneurial success, noting, “Behind every successful business is an entrepreneur who faced countless obstacles yet remained steadfast in their pursuit.”
He inspired attendees with the reminder that “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. Every successful business starts with something small, therefore, the young entrepreneurs should not be disheartened with size of their start-ups but rather work up the ladder and achieve success.”
NEHU-Deen Dayal Upadhyay Community College looks forward to continuing its mission of empowering the community through skill development and entrepreneurial training, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for future business leaders.
