A group calling itself the A’chik Progressive Approach (APA) has extended support to the aggrieved Non-Gazetted Employees Association (NGEA) over their salaries that have been pending for 32 months now in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).
The APA also condemned Rakesh Sangma, the Chairman of the GHADC’s High Powered Committee for “provoking the employees” inside the Chief Executive Member’s office.
“He must remember where there is anger there is always pain underneath and when you speak to someone with anger, you will make the best speech you will ever regret. We will also join the employees if required and if the authorities continue to defer their salaries and proceed towards the proper way to get rid of it,” an APA release said today.
