The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has launched its project ‘Kaksha’ at Rymbai Presbyterian Upper Primary School in Rymbai village and Roman Catholic Lower Primary School in Mynkre village under East Jaiñtia Hills district.
The project is being implemented by the education department of CII with the support of Amrit Cement Limited and its execution partner, Spring with the objective of bringing in quality improvement in both learning and teaching.
CII, Education director, Subhajit Poddar said that one of the core objectives of the confederation is to work towards continuous improvement in school education which forms the base for higher education. Therefore, the education department of the CII has devised the project with the objective of improving the quality of education in schools, he added.
Poddar said the project was executed through various activities involving over 250 students and 11teachers of the school over a day in Rymbai and over 130 students and seven teachers in Mynkre.
At the launching programmes held on September 27 and 28, the CII donated over 100 books to the school authorities for their library at the end of the activities.
