The 8th Central Agricultural University (CAU) Inter Collegiate Youth Festival, Games and Sports Meet concluded in Sikkim yesterday.
Contingents from the College of Post-Graduate Studies in Umiam, College of Agriculture in Kyrdemkulai and College of Community Science in Tura took part.
The festival served as a melting pot of culture, sportsmanship and inspiration for over 500 participants from 13 colleges. The festivities began on March 28.
A rich tapestry of cultural programmes, both indoor and outdoor sports competitions and motivational presentations kept the energy high throughout the event. The valedictory function witnessed the presence of Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of CAU Imphal.
In his address, Mishra expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the participants, commending their performances that had left a lasting impression on the organisers, faculty and volunteers.
The ceremony culminated in a prize distribution, with the College of Agriculture in Imphal emerging as the overall winners. The College of Fisheries in Lembuchara and College of Agriculture in Kyrdemkulai, shared the runners-up position.
