Archbishop of Shillong Archdiocese, Victor Lyngdoh today announced that the church has been planning the centennial anniversary for the arrival of the Salesian congregation for a long time.
Speaking to reporters, he said that the concluding part of the celebration will be on October 30.
The Nuncio of India, Most Rev. Leopoldo Girelli will also arrive in the State to preside over the Holy Mass. The Rector Major of the Salesian congregation will also be present in the programme.
The Holy Mass will begin at 10 am and the afternoon programme will start at 2 pm in which will conclude with the Eucharistic Adoration at 3.30 in the evening.
The annual Eucharistic procession will be held on November 13 after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he said.
