The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) has written to the dorbar shnong of Rynjah and requested the removal of signboards that read “RR Colony” and replace them with those saying “Them Rynjah”.
KHNAM reminded the dorbar shnong that Hima Mylliem had, in 2019, included the Relief and Rehabilitation Colony (also known as Refugee Colony) under the ambit of the Dorbar Shnong of Rynjah and this move was confirmed by the KHADC.
Hima Mylliem thus instructed that the colony’s name be known henceforth as Them Rynjah but KHNAM today expressed surprise that this order was not being adhered to.
