A business meet and awareness campaign was organised by the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) Shillong branch today for entrepreneurs of Smit in the village.
The meet was attended by 50 entrepreneurs from the area.
The objective of the program is to create awareness on the different schemes provided by the corporation and to educate and inform entrepreneurs about the mentoring service provided by NEDFi through its Business Facilitation Centre.
NEDFI, Shillong Branch Manager, Pynkynmawlang Rymmai informed entrepreneurs about the various project profiles prepared by the corporation according to the potential of each individual state in the North East to help budding entrepreneurs in their business ideation.
Business development representative Bhanudlang Kharkongor briefed about the various schemes of the corporation to promoter entrepreneurship.
The entrepreneurs were also briefed about the North East Venture Fund the first dedicated venture fund for the region and the prospects of availing the venture capital fund by start-ups from Meghalaya.
The participants were also informed MOVCDNER, National Bamboo Mission and other schemes of the Central Government for the benefit to promote rural entrepreneurship.
