In a coordinated operation, personnel of the 01 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya partnered with the state police to thwart an attempt to smuggle 50,000 kg of sugar into Bangladesh.
The smuggling attempt took place yesterday in Maheshkhola area under South West Khasi Hills district.
The confiscated sugar was handed over to the respective police station for further necessary legal action.
