Acting as good Samaritans, the BSF team in South Garo Hills went out of its way in helping a woman who had a severe complication in her pregnancy.
The incident took place in a remote village of Panda Chiksen near Rongara, close to the border with Bangladesh.
After BSF authorities were alerted to the condition of the pregnant woman, identified as Tangsilchi R Marak, who had suffered complications with her pregnancy, the BSF jawans quickly rushed to the village and using their own ambulance helped her reach the Baghmara Civil Hospital, where she is currently being cared for.
The woman was cared for by the 43 BN of the BSF on the directions of its commandant today. The woman is currently under treatment in Baghmara.
