Border Security Force (BSF) Additional Director General of the Eastern Command Ravi Gandhi is on a four-day official visit to BSF Frontier Meghalaya to review the present security scenario and discuss various operational and administrative aspects of border management.
Gandi was welcomed by IG BSF Meghalaya, Harbax Singh Dhillon along with other senior officers today.
The IG briefed the ADG on the general security situation along the Indo-Bangladesh International border of the Meghalaya Frontier. During the briefing, the Dhillon highlighted the unique challenges faced along the Indo-Bangladesh border and the measures implemented to counter them effectively, a BSF press release said.
Gandhi is scheduled to visit the border outposts along the Indo-Bangladesh border and interact with field commanders and jawans. He will also assess the prevailing security situation, and review the current operational preparedness in order to make the international border crime-free.
