The Additional Director General of the Eastern Command of the Border Security Force (BSF), Sonali Mishra, visited the BSF Meghalaya Frontier to review the current security scenario and operational preparedness on the Indo-Bangladesh border in this sector.
Yesterday, Mishra visited the war memorial at Killapara, West Garo Hills, and paid homage to BSF martyrs. The ADG also interacted with Brig Gen Md Sahidul Islam, the Regional Commander of Border Guards Bangladesh and other officials of the neighbouring country’s force at the border to discuss operational aspects and challenges.
Mishra also took stock of the security scenario, reviewed the border domination and operational preparedness in order to make the international border peaceful and crime-free. She applauded the efforts and dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and in the efforts being made to control border crimes, a press release stated today.
