On the last day, a lecture-cum-demonstration on ‘Complementary feeding for optimum growth and development for an infant’ was delivered by associate professors Natasha R Marak and Basanti Devi from the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, which offered practical advice to lactating mothers from Gambegre block.
The celebration concluded with a valedictory function graced by the chief guest, Jagdesh Chelani, Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, who inaugurated the newly created lactation room facility for staff at the Department of HDFS.
This facility aims to provide a comfortable and private space for breastfeeding mothers, supporting their needs and promoting a breastfeeding-friendly environment.
