The body of a newborn baby was found at Bakur Khliehshnong internal road in West Jaintia Hills district.
Superintendent of Police Chemphang Syrti informed that the newborn was found on July 2 at around 11 am.
He said a case has been registered at Dawki PS and the dead body was shifted to Ialong Civil hospital for necessary formalities.
Police have sought identification of the baby and claims by calling Dawki PS at 9402303222/ 9862370673 or Jowai police control room -9774065467/03652220782.
