A body of an unidentified person was found lying on NH-06 near Byndihati village under East Jaiñtia Hills district suspected to have been run over by unknown vehicle.
The district superintendent of police said that the person who is about 38-years of age was found on November 3 at around 11 pm on the national highway.
While inquest and other formalities have been observed and the body is kept in hospital morgue for identification the SP has urged all concerned who can identify the deceased are to contact S.I. W Nongtdu at 7005591709 and S.I. K Pdahkasiej at 8257857901.
Meanwhile, the Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital, Shillong has informed that an unknown male patient about 58 years of age died on November 7. He was admitted in the Male Medical Ward – 1, Bed No. 30 at Civil Hospital, Shillong on November 2.
Concerned relatives are urged to collect the dead body from the hospital morgue immediately, failing which the dead bodies will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
