The BJP has decided to contest only one of the three Assembly seats for which by-elections will be held on October 30.
The party received two applications for tickets and has decided on the name of Kingstone B Marak. He is currently the BJP’s district vice-president in West Garo Hills.
The meeting at which the decision was made was attended by the BJP state president Ernest Mawrie, BJP national vice-president and in-charge of the state Chuba Ao and state cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai.
