Around 500 people enrolled as new members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Meghalaya today.
The enrolment took place during a programme in Mahendraganj to mark ‘8 Years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan (welfare schemes, good governance, and welfare of the poor)’ to celebrate eight years of BJP rule at the Centre.
Keynote speakers on the occasion were BJP North East general secretary Ajay Jamwal, state party president Ernest Mawrie, ST Morcha president Boston Marak, Mahila Morcha president Judy Surong and Mandal president Anil Hajong.
