The Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata hosted Bharat-Bangla Art Fest, an international art festival, from July 7 to 12, organised by the Bangladesh Artists Group and Santiniketan Kala Bhavan Praktoni.
This event showcased the works of 117 artists, with 41 from Bangladesh and the remainder representing India, including Raphael Warjri from Meghalaya.
Over 200 paintings and a dozen sculptures were exhibited. Among them were the paintings of Jogen Choudhury and the sculptures of Janak Jhankar Narzari from India, as well as the artworks of KMA Quayyum and Hamiduzzaman Khan from Bangladesh.
