A district level public grievance redressal meeting was held at Bosalgre village in South West Garo Hills today to address the concerns and grievances of the public related to banking services.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the government, MSRLS, Lead District Officer from RBI and Lead Bank District Manager along with bank officials.
The meeting was aimed to sensitise participants about the grievance redressal process and improve the overall quality of banking services.
The primary objective of the meeting was to provide a platform for the public to directly interact with banking officials and government authorities to voice their concerns, seek clarifications and lodge complaints.
During the meeting, Lead District Officer of RBI Shillong Lalit Vijay Singh Jamwal enlightened participants about the grievance redressal process available at banks and RBI. The participants were also apprised about the Ombudsman Scheme of RBI, which provides a free of cost mechanism for redressal of complaints.
The meeting concluded with a positive note, as the participants expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to directly engage with the authorities. The banking officials and government representatives reiterated their commitment to resolving public grievances promptly and effectively.
