An awareness programme on use of technologies on Sericulture for better crop harvest was conducted by the Research Extension Centre (REC), Shillong.
The programme was held in collaboration with the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute, Berhampore with the support from Central Silk Board, Krish Vigyan Kendra, Wahiajer and Ministry of Textiles.
The programme was attended by District Sericulture Officer, WJHD, R. Synjiri accompanied by Scientist from REC Shillong, Dr. N.Balachandran, Senior Scientis & Head of KVK Wahiajer, Dr. Dodo Pasweth and other officials from KVK and Sericulture Department.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Balachandran called upon the farmers to go for two-time mulberry harvesting in a year for their benefit.
