Assam Rifles Public School won two titles – U-15 and U-17 boys – at the District Level Inter School Subroto Cup football tournament for East Khasi Hills here today.
The tournament’s finals were held today at the MFA Turf at Third Ground in Polo. The event was organised by the District Sports Officer.
In the U-15 boys’ category, ARPS defeated Umphyrnai Secondary School 1-0. The U-17 boys’ final was a rematch between the two sides and here ARPS edged Umphyrnai SS 4-3 in a tiebreaker.
The U-17 girls’ title, meanwhile, was won by Tyrsad Secondary School, who pipped Umpohliew Jingtip Higher Secondary School 1-0.
