Shillong, Aug 13: The Achik State Peoples’ Front (ASPF) has urged the stat government to expedite the release of pending sanction orders for Science and Hindi grants and ensure timely salary disbursement to teachers through the Megh-SIMS portal.
In a letter to the Commissioner & Secretary of the Education Department, ASPF General Secretary Bernita Marak said delays in clearing operational funds were causing considerable financial distress for teachers who depend solely on monthly remuneration to support their families.
The organisation requested the Directorate of School Education and Literacy and the State Education Mission Authority to immediately process and issue the pending sanction orders.
It also called for salary components, including base pay, to be credited seamlessly into individual accounts or school management accounts via digital platforms.
