A workshop on Educational Robotics was conducted for educators and learners of Army Public School, Umroi Military Station today aimed to enrich classroom education with hands-on experimentation that provides practical context and relevance.
A US Based Scientist and Inventor Rajeev Dwivedi, along with his team member Bharat Dwivedi, shared the details of the initiative. Rajeev is the lead coach and founding member of Robotics for Everyone, an organization dedicated to advancing experimental STEM education, particularly in robotics.
During the workshop, teachers and students were introduced to the fundamentals of robotics. Dwivedi also demonstrated the methods of engagement in educational robotics and shared instructional materials alongside basic building kits that he had developed.
The workshop was first of its kind, and was a completely engaging experimental experience that opens scope for new initiatives and innovation in classroom learning as per NEP 2020, principal of the school, Shipra Basu said.
