The Meghalaya AG Office and Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards will face off in the final of Big FM’s Big Futsal Fest in the title match here tomorrow.
In the semifinals today, AG Office defeated MeECL on penalties 3-1 after normal time finished 4-4, with the ultimate victors’ Sheen Sohktung scoring a hat-trick. Later, the Home Guards overwhelmed MIMHANS 10-2, with five goals for Fivestar Shylla.
In the second match, MIMHANS brought along their vibrant supporters but unfortunately didn’t bring their best game with them. It was a one-sided match but that didn’t dampen the excitement on the stands as both sets of supporters traded chants and banter.
The ultimate clash will thus be between the tournament favourites AG Office Meghalaya and the Fivestar-inspired Home Guards. The game will take place at 4PM at the Thrive Sports Arena in Langkyrding.
