Shillong, Jul 9: The Shillong unit of the right-wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a road race today to commemorate National Students’ Day, which also marks the foundation day of the ABVP.
A good number of students and young people took part in the marathon and the winners were honoured with cash prizes, mementoes and certificates.
In the men’s category Hasebinson Marwein, Rangkijonathan Pathaw and Junom Phawa came first, second and third respectively, while in the women’s category Larijanai Wartde, Ibashongkun Kurbah and Dajes Syiemsad finished in the top three.
