The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has congratulated the legislators of the three North East states that went to the polls recently – Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura – and called on their governments to fully implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The ABVP is a right-wing all India student organisation affiliated to the Hindu nationalist organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
In a release, it also said that the newly-elected governments should focus on employment generation.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), another RSS affiliate, is in power in all three states – as the lead party in Tripura while it plays a lesser role in Nagaland and Meghalaya.
