Khliehriat, Jul 30: East Jaintia Hills police arrested a person and seized two soap boxes containing heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Biswajit Dhar, (31) a resident of Nongthymmai Dum Dum, Shillong.
A case has been registered under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and investigation is underway to trace and apprehend other individuals connected to the illegal activity.
